Senior Platform Engineer
As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in building, automating, and scaling a secure, resilient, and high-performing cloud platform. Working closely with developers, architects, and both internal and external stakeholders, you will lead DevOps and platform engineering initiatives with a strong focus on automation, cloud infrastructure, security, and platform reliability, primarily within Microsoft Azure. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities Develop and implement DevOps strategies focused on automation, scalability, and operational reliability. Design, optimize, and automate infrastructure and platform services using Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure, primarily within Microsoft Azure. Ensure compliance with cloud security standards, governance policies, and industry best practices. Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana. Continuously enhance platform architecture, security, performance, resilience, and availability. Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and automated software deployments. Deploy and manage applications using ArgoCD and administer Kubernetes clusters. Integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (DevSecOps). Collaborate closely with developers, architects, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver platform improvements. Support incident management and crisis resolution while maintaining a solution-oriented approach during production outages. Participate in post-incident reviews, documenting lessons learned and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Mentor junior DevOps engineers, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the team. Your Profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Development, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Technical Support, or IT Operations. Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure preferred. Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker. Strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines and automation tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, ArgoCD, or similar technologies. Proven experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code tools, particularly Terraform and Ansible. Strong knowledge of Git and modern version control practices. Solid understanding of networking concepts, cloud infrastructure, cloud security, and infrastructure security principles. Strong troubleshooting, monitoring, and log analysis skills. Ability to coordinate incident resolution and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations. Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. Very good verbal and written communication skills in English.
